This opening par 5 requires a well-placed drive down the left side of the fairway to avoid having to play over a large mound on the right hand side of the fairway. The hole is lined with natural preserves along both the left and right side of the fairway making this hole play more difficult. A player must navigate the fairway bunker on the left side if they choose to layup. Shots played to the green can play slightly uphill to a large green guarded by a well positioned bunker on the right and a deep collection area on the left.
